TERMS YOU CAN OPERATE

Know the service boundary before you rely on the result.

These terms cover the live public scanner and the controlled preparation of international accounts. Paid subscriptions are not available yet, so untested billing terms are not presented as a finished service.

ACCEPTABLE USE

Four rules make the scanner useful and safe.

Using the scanner means agreeing to these operating limits. They protect the target website, other users and the reliability of the result.

PUBLIC TARGETS

Use public targets

Scan a website you own, manage or are authorised to assess. Do not evade access controls or seek private content.

FAIR LOAD

Respect service limits

Do not overload targets, automate abusive volumes, attack credentials or interfere with CookiLow or another service.

EVIDENCE

Read the result correctly

A scan is a time-bound technical observation. It is not legal advice, certification or a guarantee of compliance.

ACCOUNT

Keep your account accurate

When accounts open, protect sign-in methods, maintain current contact details and notify us of suspected unauthorised access.

WHAT THE RESULT MEANS

A browser observation, not a legal verdict.

CookiLow records what a public browser can observe before choice, after acceptance and after rejection. A website, vendor or banner can change after the scan. You remain responsible for legal texts, purposes, configuration and the decision to act on the result.

CONTRACT LIFECYCLE

The customer sees what happens next.

Leading consent platforms separate scanning, ordering, renewal, cancellation and data exit. CookiLow will make that sequence visible instead of hiding it across support articles.

  1. 01
    Scan

A public scan can be used without opening a paid account.

  2. 02
    Review

The result shows the observed browser states and the limits of the evidence.

  3. 03
    Order

Before payment, the plan, total charge, renewal and customer type must be explicit.

  4. 04
    Control

The workspace must show renewal, plan changes and a simple cancellation action.

  5. 05
    Exit

The customer must be able to export available records before deletion takes effect.

BEFORE PAID CHECKOUT

Money moves only after the lifecycle works.

These customer-facing commitments must be visible, tested and incorporated into the final purchase terms before CookiLow accepts international subscription payments.

PRICE

The monthly equivalent, annual total, taxes and currency will be shown before payment.

RENEWAL

The renewal interval, next charge and recurring amount will be shown before confirmation.

PLAN CHANGES

A higher price or plan will not be charged without the disclosed trigger and required notice.

CANCELLATION

Cancellation will stop the next renewal. The effective date and confirmation will remain visible.

WITHDRAWAL

Eligible consumers will receive the applicable withdrawal information and form before checkout.

REFUNDS

Duplicate or incorrect charges will be corrected. Other eligibility and timing will be stated before purchase.

EXPORT & CLOSURE

A paid customer will have at least 30 days to export available workspace records after the subscription ends.

TERMS CHANGES

Material changes will be notified before they take effect, and the accepted version will remain identifiable.

SERVICE OPERATION

Clear responsibilities prevent expensive surprises.

The scanner helps a team find and verify technical behaviour. It does not move the website owner’s legal and configuration responsibilities to CookiLow.

Availability

The free scanner is provided on a best-effort basis. A paid uptime or support commitment exists only when the selected plan states it.

Suspension

CookiLow may rate-limit or suspend access needed to protect a target, another customer, the service or overdue paid obligations.

Customer configuration

The customer remains responsible for purposes, legal bases, banner wording, vendor setup and publishing the correct legal notices.

Ownership

The customer keeps rights in customer data. DIGITAL GROUP AS keeps rights in the CookiLow platform, software, design and documentation.

BUSINESS AND CONSUMER ACCOUNTS

Mandatory customer rights are not replaced by these terms.

CookiLow is designed primarily for website operators and professional teams. If an eligible consumer purchases a digital service, applicable Norwegian and EEA consumer rules remain in force, including pre-contract information, withdrawal rules and simple cancellation requirements. The final checkout will identify the contracting customer type and provide the required durable confirmation.

Annual pricing will state the full annual charge. Monthly pricing will state the recurring monthly charge. Any request to start an eligible paid service during a withdrawal period must be explicit and recorded separately.
ONE AGREEMENT, VISIBLE PARTS

Know which document answers which question.

The checkout or order confirmation defines the selected plan, price and billing period. These Terms define service use. The DPA governs processing on customer instructions. The Privacy and Cookie notices explain CookiLow’s own data handling.

QUESTIONS OR COMPLAINTS

One address. A written record.

Contact DIGITAL GROUP AS at hello@cookilow.com. Include the account email, website and relevant scan or transaction ID, but never send a password.

Governing framework

These terms are governed by Norwegian law, without removing mandatory protections available to an eligible customer in their country of residence. Courts and complaint routes remain available where mandatory law provides them.
